SMF is delighted to announce the inaugural launch of South-East Marketing Awards, which will take place on May 24th in Granville Hotel, Waterford. The evening will feature the awards for eight different categories, as well as two special awards, that will celebrate the most prominent contributors in the field of marketing in the South-East. Dr. Pat Lynch, the director of RIKON and co-founder of SMF: “We are absolutely delighted to bring this event to the region and are anticipating it to serve as a boost for the companies who are involved in the marketing industry. There are many fantastic companies who have done terrific job and we feel that needs to be recognized”. Joe Daly, co-founder of the SMF: "Absolutely delighted to bring this tremendous event to the South-East. The gala ball will be an unmissable event, especially for those with keen interest in marketing. We are pleased to announce the nominations are now open for the 2019 Awards."
Businesses have the opportunity to nominate themselves or anyone else through the link on SMF website and closes at 5pm on Thursday 18th April. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by Friday, 26th April. Interviews will take place in Waterford on Friday, May 10th. The full list of nominations is as follows:

The South-East Marketing Forum is the newest addition to the marketing scene. Set up by marketing professionals to encourage like-minded people to network and exchange ideas, the SMF has quickly gained momentum across the South East.
Following the successful launch in November 2018 which welcomed over 100 business leaders and marketeers to the Greenway Manor Hotel in Waterford, it became evident that a group such as this was in demand in the Southeast region. Marketing enthusiasts don’t need to wait long for the next event hosted by the SMF Events and Marketing Team as Kilkenny, Ireland’s Foodie Destination 2018, is the location of choice for the first event of 2019 scheduled to take place on 13th February. The venue? Kilkenny Design Centre, located directly opposite the exquisite Kilkenny Castle. Known for their support of Irish food and craft, Kilkenny Design Centre is the perfect partner and main sponsors of the Business After Hours event which will discuss Omni-Channel Marketing. Along with the delicious delicacies provided by local producers, attendees will also hear from Jenny DeSaulles, Head of Ireland’s Ancient East, as she outlines her experience of applying omni-channel marketing tactics to the tourism industry. The business after hours in Kilkenny is just the first of many in 2019. The SMF team will host an event in Hatch Labs, Gorey, Co. Wexford on 4th April outlining how to ‘Embrace Technology’ in your marketing strategy. The SMF Awards and Gala Ball are scheduled to take place in late May with all details announced at the event in Kilkenny on 13th February. Anyone in the marketing, digital marketing, website or graphic design business is encouraged to enter and to be available for a judging call in early April.
